Restoring the Original Corisande Ship Model
This circa 1920 model represents the 50’ commuter yacht owned by Marshall Field III, the first of this name in a series of such boats. It was built in 1923 for him by Gar Wood, the top American power boat designer of the period. We are looking forward to getting the model back from professional model shipwright Daniel Parsier by the fall of 2024 when it will be on display in the park office.

Producing Three History Films
The Caumsett Foundation received a generous grant from the Robert David Lion Gardiner Foundation in 2024 to help produce three short educational films about the history of Caumsett. The three films will reach our new, expanded audience which includes longtime local residents and those from all over Long Island and New York metro area who discovered Caumsett during Covid.
